Student’s in the College’s study-abroad program interact with Cuban students, discussing the cultural differences between Cuba and the United States.

College of Charleston students have been studying in Cuba since 2000. Students immerse themselves in Cuban culture, and study with both CofC professors and professors from some of the most prestigious universities in that country.

In spring 2017, Prof. Sarah Owens directed the program in Cuba; in spring 2018, Prof. Edward Chauca will assume the role.
